Rotessa Roundup | October 2019

November 8, 2019
November 8, 2019

We’ve got a lot of projects planned for the winter months (staying busy helps combat the desire to hibernate through the cold Manitoba winter). Today we’re excited to reveal some of the projects we’ve been working on including partnerships, app improvements, and integration updates. As always, we’d love to hear what you think. Even an email with a thumbs up would be greatly appreciated!

Here’s What’s New

1. Imports/Exports

Update coming really soon!

Our imports and exports have expanded to accommodate some of your favourite platforms while giving it a facelift!

Import Options:

  • Customers and invoices from our template CSV, Xero CSV, and Quickbooks CSV
    • NOTE: When you export from QBO, they provide a .xls file. Open this, delete the top row and save as a MS-DOS CSV before uploading to Rotessa.
  • Imports has a new option to select only the customers or transactions you wish.

Export Options:

  • Customers and Invoices in our CSV format are ready to be imported to Xero or QBO

2. Zapier 1.0.2

Version 1.0.2 of our Zapier integration is now available. We have updated how we import transactions to include a unique identifier, titled the “Transaction Unique Identifier”. This allows you to better track those transactions when they are approved or declined in Rotessa. We like using this field to store things like an invoice id which is typically unique in accounting apps.

We have also cleaned up some language to better represent the actions.

  • “Find a Customer in Rotessa” has become Match a Customer in Rotessa.
  • “Custom Identifier” has become “Rotessa Custom Identifier” when grabbing from Rotessa and matching with your choice of Customer Unique Identifier on a trigger app.

Feel free to reach out to [email protected] if you have questions about the new Zapier update.

3. Rotessa partnership program for accountants and bookkeepers

If you are an accountant or bookkeeper (or know someone that is) that uses Rotessa, you should check out our newly launched partnership program here.

4. Integration Partner

Housters is a simple, easy, intuitive property management software that helps with online rent collection, tenant screening, accounting, task management, reporting and more. They’ve built a custom integration with Rotessa using our API so that their users can easily manage payments right from within Housters.

Building Update

If you haven’t already heard, Rotessa is getting a new building. If you want to catch the highlights of the progress you can follow along with us on social media (FB, IG, TW). Here’s the latest:

We managed to get the asphalt poured for the Rotessa parking lot before the snow flies so we don’t have to park in the mud next spring.

It’s crazy how just a little drywall can completely transform a space. It’s beginning to feel real now that it’s more than a bunch of studs and concrete.

We’d love to hear from you

If you have any comments or feedback about any of our updates or changes, please let us know at [email protected]. Your input helps us continue to make Rotessa better. Stay tuned next month for more exciting news and updates.
